Altron delivered another strong set of financial results for the six months ended 31 August 2024, increasing EBITDA from continuing operations by 49% and operating profit by over 100%. The Board declared an interim dividend of 40 cents per share, up 60%. These results were supported by an excellent performance from the Platforms segment, benefiting from the operating leverage as they added scale during the period.

Despite increasingly tough trading conditions the Altron Group reported improved revenue and profitability from continuing operations for the six months ended 31 August 2023.

The company saw cash generated from operations up 79% to R527 million and an interim dividend of seven cents per share declared.

Today, Bytes has been admitted to the premium listing segment of the official list of the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority, to unconditional trading on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange, and the Main Board of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange by way of a secondary inward listing (“Admission“). This marks the completion of the demerger of the Bytes group from the Altron Group, a transaction which Altron announced to the market in April 2020. The achieved price of £2.70 per Bytes ordinary share (the “Issue Price“) results in a market capitalisation at the Issue Price of approximately GBP 647 million (c.R13 billion) on Admission. The Issue Price was in the top half of the previously communicated price range of £2.40 to £2.90 per Bytes ordinary share. Approximately 40% of the Bytes ordinary shares are distributed to existing Altron shareholders and the remaining shares are held by investors located outside South Africa, and Bytes management.

Johannesburg, 22 October 2020 – JSE-listed technology company Altron has announced an increase in Continuing Operations EBITDA of 17% to R883 million for the first half of the year through to August 31, while revenue increased 14% to R8.4 billion.
